It has become an obsession. They are ready to spend their time and efforts trying to find the most effective and quick diet.  If you browse the Internet in order to find out the fastest way to lose 10 pounds, the following tips for women will come in handy to you.

When looking for the fastest way to lose extra weight, you should realize that there is no single option that will allow you to reach your aim quickly and efficiently. The whole complex of measures will be required to make your dream come true.

The people over at Cosmopolitan have put together a gigantic list on 100 tips for weight loss:

1. Start small. “I began walking or jogging for 15 minutes a day. I worked up to 30 minutes, and then increased it again. It was a very gradual process.”

2. Don’t give up when your weight loss plateaus. “I remember hitting the first plateau and feeling so defeated, but you have to push through and keep putting in the effort for your plan to work. You can’t get discouraged.”

3. Be realistic about which habits need to go. “When I was heavy, I’d eat French fries every single day, plus carbs at almost every meal — like a sandwich for lunch or bread with pasta for dinner. A diet so heavy in fried food and carbs just isn’t conducive to weight loss. To lose the weight, I went from three large meals a day to six small meals, mostly made of fresh vegetable salads with lean meats and nuts. And no more bread!”

The first step you should undertake is drinking as much water as possible during a day. This is required in order to get rid of toxins, which have accumulated in your body. Water also increases metabolic processes in our bodies and acts like a carrier of vitally important nutrients. There is one effective method that will allow you to get to know the approximate amount of water you should drink during a day. Just divide your weight (in pounds) by two and you will obtain the result. Apart from pure water, it is admissible to drink lemon juice or herbal tea. Drinking enough water will help you lose weight in quite a short period of time.

Do not be misled by the assumption that if you starve or stick to drastic weight loss diets, losing weight will be a piece of cake for you. It is not right. To lose weight, you have to stick to a rational diet, which presupposes the consumption of low caloric food products rich in nutrients and vitamins. Furthermore, you are recommended to have meals four or five times a day. Breakfast, should be the most nutritional and substantial meal of the day, which is quite obvious, because after breakfast we proceed to our everyday work, thus helping food digest well.

Going in for sports is the next step in your weight loss plan. Drinking water and sticking to a rational diet will hardly help you lose 10 pounds effectively and quickly. However, regular physical activity may become that very point essential for efficient weight loss. Of course, it does not mean that you should become a sportsman, if you have never been involved in physical exercises. However, you may attend gymnastics or dance classes and suchlike activities.

All in all, you have to be realistic when it comes to the fastest way of losing 10 pounds. If a friend of yours says that a certain diet proved to be highly efficient for him/her, it does not mean that it will work for you as well. All people are different. Remember that when deciding on the weight loss diet.

What do we know about drinking water and weight loss?

There are many reasons why it is important to drinking water to lose weight is very important, especially if you are dieting. This is because your body needs to burn calories to raise the water temperature to that of your own body temperature; however, the advantage is that normal water has zero calories, which means your body ends up burning more calories. Initial weight loss is largely due to loss of water, and you need to drink an adequate amount of water in order to avoid dehydration.

Most diets programs and experts advocate drinking at least eight to 10, 8-ounce glasses of water daily and a few studies have shown that this practice actually speeds up weight loss.  A few experts  says that the standard weight-loss programs or plans encourages people to drink more water which stems from beliefs that water fills the gut to make people feel fuller. But more objectively, drinking water before each meal has also been shown to help promote weight loss, according to recent scientific studies.

This is further supported by a few other studies that found that most regular water drinkers who take adequate amounts of water daily manage to keep their weight off and still lost 1 to 2 extra pounds.

How does drinking water actually help the process of weight loss?Drinking water and weight loss have been found to be linked by considering the following facts. Metabolism of fat is the primary form of metabolism in the body. This is what determines weight loss and the process requires adequate amounts of water. The quantity of water you should drink for weight loss depends on your weight, level of activity, the temperature and humidity of your environment, and very importantly also your diet.

Studies have shown that water may help you burn a few calories daily. This could amount to 50 calories can be burnt per liter or quart of water consumed. Therefore, a water bottle-full of water can help burn about 25 calories.

Drinking water, it has been said may be the most important piece to the weight loss puzzle.  Maintain: muscle tone, weight loss, clear and healthy skin.  During weight loss, the body has much more waste to expel in the form of metabolized fat.  It will make you feel less hungry and thus help you in your quest to lose weight.

Water has indeed been described as a very important catalyst for losing weight and keeping it off your body forever. It is so unfortunate though, that many of us take this very essential, life saving essential commodity for granted without realizing  that it may be the single true solution for long-lasting weight loss.

Does Healthy Food Equal Less Flavor? Answer: No

I was looking through my Facebook feed today and I saw a friend post something like “If it tastes good, spit it out.”. Meaning that it is unhealthy and couldn’t possibly be good for you. I thought this was so odd, because, you guys, I’ve been eating healthy and I make some REALLY yummy things! So I thought I’d just jot down a few things I’ve been eating lately that are healthy. I’m not perfect. I could probably get in more fruits and veggies, and I’m totally working on that. So besides the obvious, here are a few things I eat, that maybe you could eat too! Then you can eat healthy and won’t feel like you’re depriving yourself.

Lately, I’ve really been into…

Scrambled egg whites, light cheese and salsa. I use real eggs (it’s the only way to go, dudes). I use 4-5 egg whites and one whole egg. Beat and scramble it up. Do a little dance while you’re doing that (what? dancing burns calories). Then add the light cheese (if you want, you can totally leave that out to make it healthier), then the salsa. To me, it tastes FANTASTIC. I don’t feel deprived at all.

Egg whites from Trader Joe’s. They sell these flavored egg whites in little containers… you can get either Ranchero or Chive and Green Onion. I toast a fat free english muffin (use whole wheat to be even healthier!), put 1/2 of the container of the egg whites on top of both slices (the container is small) and put it back in the toaster oven to heat up the egg whites just a bit and BAM. So awesome. And that yummy snack (or breakfast, as I like) is like 160 calories.

Check out this cool video for healthy ideas:

Apples. I don’t know if apples are in season right now, or if they never go out of season or WHAT, but dizzamn. I had an apple tonight and it was delicious! I was snooping around in the kitchen tonight (awful, I know) and made the decision to eat something sweet, but that was still good for me. I saw that apple sitting there and man oh man… it hit the spot! Try it with natural peanut butter, too!

Edamame. I don’t know how to spell that, sorry. But anyway, I like to buy frozen edamame still in the shell. It feels like you’re eating A LOT because you have to work a little bit to get to it, so it takes a while. Plus, it’s high in protein!

Baked potato. Some people may disagree with this, since it’s a carb, but whatever. I like that it’s not a processed food, so I’m all for it. Instead of sour cream, I use plain non fat greek yogurt. That way I can use A LOT and not feel guilty, and it ups my protein count. And it’s actually REALLY good. I promise! If you can’t tell, I’m really trying to up my protein! Sometimes I slack off on it, being a vegetarian and all. Anyway, I’ll also put fake bacon bits on it and OH MY GOD. One of my favorite. dinners. ever. And still pretty low cal.

Pasta with vegetables. My awesome friend Jaime was in town a few weeks ago, and we (mostly she) whipped this up really quickly and it was SO good! Sauté up some veggies (I like bell peppers, corn and zucchini). While that’s going, cook your whole wheat pasta. Once the veggies are where you’d like them, add the pasta sauce and cook them in there for a few minutes. Then, drain your pasta, add everything together and top with  little fresh basil! We also put a little bit of cheese on top, but I really couldn’t even taste it, so I don’t do that anymore. What’s the point in having extra calories if you can’t taste them?!

Those are just a few samples of yummy, and pretty healthy things you can eat. I’m no chef, so it’s all really easy to make I hope I’ve changed your mind a little bit about healthy eating!
